How an introduction works
Before we suggest anyone
No other member can see your profile, and there are no profiles to browse. We suggest each introduction ourselves.
When we suggest an introduction
The buyer sees a short description of your business: the kind of work, its size shown as a range (like 25 to 50 people), and a general region. Never your name or your company's name. If fewer than five businesses like yours operate nearby, we show a broader category and a wider area. You approve it first.
After you both say yes
Names are shared and you set up a first conversation. Every Venny member has already agreed to keep introductions confidential and not to contact your employees, customers or vendors without your permission. If talks go further, your attorneys handle a formal NDA before any financials are shared.
What we never do
- Post your business. No listings, no public profiles, nothing a search engine can find. Buyers can never search for you.
- Sell your information. Not to buyers, brokers, lenders, or anyone else.
- Share your name without your yes. Only after you both say yes.
- Let software make introductions. A person at Venny reviews every introduction before it's sent.
Who sees what
- Only Venny: Your worries, your plans for yourself, your dealbreakers, and your company's legal name.
- The Venny team: Only the people who review introductions and support members can see full profiles.
- Whoever referred you: They learn that you joined, never whom you meet.
You stay in control
- Pause or delete anytime, online or by phone. We remove your information within 30 days of deleting your account. We can't take back what you chose to share after a mutual yes.
How Venny makes money
- Owners: Base membership is free. Scans and data room services cost extra.
- Buyers: $50 a month, paid after we've verified them. Cancel anytime. Scans cost extra.
Venny doesn't receive a success fee when a business sells, and buyer memberships never buy access to owner information.
